Air permeability test

Tested building products:

The main products or building systems tested for air tightness are:

- Curtain walling, windows & doors
- Closures
- Doors of confinement (security doors)
- Insulated Doors
- Clear room doors
- Air barrier systems
- Sealing profiles for tightness of the glazing and between frame and leaf of the joinery
-...

Test procedure :

The test aims to measure the air flow (m3 / h) which pass through the testes body, due to the difference of static pressure. The test pressure rarely exceeds 600 Pa, but can vary depending on the scope of application of the tested. This test is applicable as well for products which are already installed. Measurements can be performed on finished products in your factory facilities or on site when it comes up to evaluate the permeability of the installation.

Test facilities:

Test bench_Low flow debit: from 1 l./min-1 to 20 l/.min-1 (range of the static pressure 0 Pa - 10000 Pa, for a leakage rate less than 20 l/min)
Test bench _Average flow debit : from 1 m3.h-1 to 250 m3.h-1 range of the static pressure 0 Pa - 5000 Pa,  for a leakage rate less than 10 m3.h.-1)
